Suji Manchurian (No Fry)
You fry manchurian; I don’t. Why fry when you can shallow fry. Enjoy Suji Manchurian this lockdown; healthy, tasty and satisfying.

Ingredients
Recipe's Secret
- 1 cup suji/ semolina.
- 1/2 cup curd.
- Salt.
- 1/4th cup chopped cabbage.
- 2 tbs finely chopped onion.
- 1/2 tsp ginger.
- 2 finely chopped green chillies.
- 1/4 tsp baking soda.
- Water.
- Oil.
- 1/2 tsp garlic.
- 2 finely chopped green chili.
- 1 onion cut in cubes.
- 1 capsicum cut in cubes.
- Some cabbage leaves optional.
- 3 tbs soya sauce.
- 1 tbs Vinegar (circa).
- 1 tbs tomato ketchup.
- 1 tsp corn flour diluted in 3-4 spoon water.
- Spring onion for garnishing.
Method
How to make?
- In a cup, take 1 cup suji (Semolina / Rava).
- Add 1/2 cup curd.
- Add some salt.
- Add chopped cabbage 1/4th cup, Finely chopped onion 2 tbs, ginger 1/2 tsp.
- Add 2 finely chopped green chillies.
- Add 1/4 tsp baking soda, this will make the suji balls soft.
- Add little water.
- Make a dough like paratha.
- Cover the bowl and leave it for 15 minutes.
- Keep the steamer on with boiling water.
- In the strainer apply little oil so that suji balls don’t stick.
- Take little oil in hand and make small roundels from the dough
and put all the suji balls in steamer for 20 minutes. - Now in a flat pan, add 2 spoon of oil.
- Add some ginger garlic and shallow fry the suji balls till you get the golden color.
- Take it out.
- And in the same pan, add 1/2 tsp ginger and 1/2 tsp garlic.
- Add 2-3 fresh green chillies.
- Add 1 onion cut into cubes and once they get little tender 1 capsicum cut in cubes.
- Add cabbage (optional).
- Cook for 2 minutes and then add 3 tbs soya sauce, 1 tbs vinegar (circa) and 1 tbs tomato ketchup.
- Mix well.
- Now it’s time to add suji balls.
- Add 1 cup of water.
- Add 1 tsp corn flour (diluted in 4-5 spoon of water).
- Cook till corn flour gets cooked (1 boil).
- Suji Manchurian is ready.
- Add salt according to your taste, as such soya sauce is saulty.
- Garnish with spring onion.
