Preparation Method of Lauki Ki Thalipeeth

Ingredients

Recipe's Secrets

  • 150-200 gm bottle gourd (lauki).
  • A small piece of carrot.
  • Some finely chopped coriander.
  • Some finely chopped spring onion/ 1 small dry onion.
  • Some finely chopped green chillies (as per taste).
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp coriander powder.
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder.
  • Some white sesame seeds (safed til).
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • 1 tsp roasted crushed coriander seeds (dhaniya).
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1.5 – 2 tbs rice flour.
  • 1.5 – 2 tbs gram flour (besan).
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour.
  • 1/2 cup bajra (pearl millet) flour.
  • Water (if required)
  • Oil (for frying).

Method

How to Prepare?

  • Take a mixing bowl, add approx 150-200 gm shredded bottle gourd (lauki).
  • Add a small piece of shredded carrot.
  • Add some finely chopped coriander.
  • Add some finely chopped spring onion/1 small dry onion.
  • Add some finely chopped green chillies (as per taste).
  • Add 2 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  • Add 1 tsp coriander powder.
  • Add 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder.
  • Add some white sesame seeds (safed til).
  • Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera).
  • Add 1 tsp roasted crushed coriander seeds (dhaniya) and mix it well.
