Strawberry Cake Recipe | Strawberry Cake Without Oven
Ho Ho Ho .. If Red and White are Christmas Colors then. Almond & Strawberry Cake is my version of Christmas cake. It’s soft but crunchy and sweet but tangy. Enjoy.

Preparation Method: Strawberry Cake Without Oven
Ingredients
My secrets
- 1/2 cup milk + 3 tbs milk.
- 1 tbs lime juice.
- 1/4 cup oil (any odourless).
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence.
- 1/2 cup icing sugar.
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour (maida).
- 1/2 tsp baking powder.
- 1/4 tsp baking soda.
- A pinch of salt.
- Some water (to brush over cake).
- 1 cup melted whipping cream.
- Some freshly chopped strawberries.
- Approx 100 gm sliced almonds.
Method
How to Prepare?
To Make Eggless Chocolate Sponge
- Take a small bowl, add 1/2 cup milk with room temperature add 1 tbs lime juice, mix it and leave for 5 mins to curdle.
- Take a mixing bowl, add 1/4 cup oil (any odourless).
- Add 1/2 tsp vanilla essence.
- Add 3 tbs milk.
- Add 1/2 cup icing sugar.
- Add milk and lime mixture in it, mix it well with the help of hand whisker.
- Place food strainer in it, seive and add 3/4 cup all purpose flour (wheat flour is optional).
- Add 1/2 tsp baking powder.
- Add 1/4 tsp baking soda.
- Add a pinch of salt and again mix it well with hand whisker.
- Further take a 4 inch round shape cake mould, place a butter paper on it greased with oil.
- Pour the mixture in it.
- Pre heat oven for 10 mins at 180⁰.
- Place cake mould in the oven and bake it for 25 mins
(To bake it on stove pre heat pan and bake it for 30-35 mins). - Once cake is baked, rest it for an hour and then remove from the mould (insert knife from the sides, clear the sides of the cake and demould it on a plate).
- To level the cake, slice the top off with the help of knife.
To Make Cake Icing
- Place sponge cake on turn table in a plate, put knife in the middle of the cake and move turn table round, cut it from the sides first and then from the center.
- Spread 1 spoon whipped cream on plate. (Take 1 cup melted whipping cream, whip it well until it expands and turns double the quantity).
- Keep upper part of the sponge upside down.
- Brush some water on it to bring moisture in the cake.
- Add whipped cream layer on it.
- Then add a layer of some freshly chopped strawberries.
- Again add a layer of whipped cream.
- Place base of the sponge keeping downside up.
- Cover the sides and top of the cake well with whipped cream.
- Further stick approx 100 gm sliced almonds around the cake covering the whipped cream
(Blanched & sliced almonds – available online or at bakery stores). - Put whipped cream in a piping bag and place a star shape nozzle in it.
- Making flower shape design keep adding whipped cream on the edges of cake.
- By adding some more whipped cream with a piping bag make small flower shape design around the cake.
- Add some freshly chopped strawberries in the middle and a small strawberry in the center of cake.
- Here’s your Classic, Delicious Almond & Strawberry Cake ready!!!
